Chapter 1920
Chapter1920
But Lyle and Mitchell stood unmoved, their faces cold, as though her voice had never even reached them.
Baker, however, scrambled to rise from the floor, his legs unsteady as he staggered toward his daughter.
But before he could reach her, one bodyguard shoved him back with ease, sending him crashing to the floor again. He lay there, unable to get up again.
Seeing her father sprawled helplessly, Kylee felt despair rising inside her.
She struggled with all the strength she could muster, but her effort meant nothing against the bodyguards’ iron grip.
Helpless, she could only watch as a sharp needle slid into her skin, the cold liquid inside the syringe slowly forced into her veins.
Only when Rodney discarded the syringe, along with his gloves and mask, did the bodyguards finally let Kylee go.
She crumpled to the floor the very next second.
“Kylee!” Baker cried out in shock. His face twisted with fury as he turned to Carola. “What did you inject into my daughter?”
Carola’s lips curled into a cruel sneer. “You’ll find out soon enough.”
She rose from the sofa. “Let’s go.”
At her word, her entourage followed her out.
Once they were settled in the car, Mitchell finally broke the silence. “Aunt Carola, what did Rodney inject Kylee with?”
“Hormone drugs,” Carola answered coldly, pronouncing each syllable with deliberate weight. “Kylee will endure exactly what my daughter endured.”
She paused, drawing in a steadying breath before continuing, “Your grandfather has already sent people searching for that potion, the one that leaves a dark mark on the skin. I want that dark blotch to be on Kylee’s face for the rest of her life.”
Her daughter had borne the torment of hormone injections and a dark mark for over twenty years.
How could she not seek revenge?

Whether Kylee was innocent or not meant nothing to her. All she knew was that Kylee and her family had harmed her daughter, and now, she would make them pay.
Baker and Holley had doted on their precious child, hadn’t they? Very well. Then, she would use their daughter to make them suffer.
At Carola’s words, Lyle and Mitchell exchanged a quiet glance, and neither of them spoke.
A moment later, something seemed to resurface in Carola’s mind. She asked Lyle and Mitchell, “Why didn’t you tell us about what happened with Tunny back then?”
Mitchell explained carefully, “Kylee made us swear to keep it a secret. She told us she was afraid that if you ever found out, Belinda would face severe consequences. But now, it’s clear she was only worried that you’d investigate further—and the truth would come out.”
Carola gave no reply, but her face grew even darker, shadows of rage hardening her expression.
That evening, Belinda and Lucas returned together to the Clark family mansion.
