Chapter 1918
Chapter1918
“Lyle, Mitchell, please save me from this fate!” Her voice broke with raw emotion. “Even though blood does not connect us, I have considered you my beloved cousins for so many years! Please help me! Don’t be so cruel to me!”
Her pleas shifted toward Lyle and Mitchell.
Lyle’s expression remained carved from stone, completely unmoved by Kylee’s desperate cries.
But Mitchell found himself unable to maintain the same level of indifference, his brow creasing slightly as sympathy flickered briefly in his eyes.
“Kylee, have you somehow managed to forget about the incident of Tunny?” Lyle asked, his voice sharp and deliberate.
Mitchell’s sympathetic expression vanished at that.
Kylee’s entire expression underwent yet another dramatic shift. Why would Lyle bring up Tunny all of a sudden?
Had he uncovered the truth? Or was he simply attempting to test her with this?
Regardless of which possibility proved accurate, Kylee understood she had to maintain her facade of innocence. “Why bring up Tunny right now?”
Lyle fixed her with eyes that held no warmth whatsoever. “We have successfully located Gretchen and extracted the complete truth from her regarding the incident of Tunny.”
His voice carried the finality of judgment as he continued, “Kylee, you possessed the capacity to murder your own beloved pet in cold blood just to frame Belinda! You are nothing more than a monster!”
“What?” Carola’s voice cracked with absolute disbelief after she absorbed Lyle’s revelation. “Are you seriously telling me that Tunny was actually killed by Kylee? What could have possibly driven her to do that?”
Baker’s expression crumbled into stunned bewilderment as he whirled around to face Kylee, completely in the dark about the incident before.
All he remembered was that Kylee had wanted to keep a cat, and Carola had bought her one. Kylee had showered it with boundless affection, carrying the creature everywhere she ventured, even during her trip to Soling.
But when she had returned to their home, Tunny had not been with her. When pressed for answers, she had dissolved into heartbroken tears, claiming that Tunny had died in some terrible accident.

But now, it was revealed that she had killed her pet.
This was so shocking.
“Not only did she commit this heinous act,” Lyle said, “but after brutally killing Tunny herself, she also cunningly framed Belinda for the murder! Back then…” He launched into a detailed account of the entire incident, laying bare every detail to Carola.
Carola’s face transformed into a mask of pure fury after she heard that. She clenched her teeth.
Kylee shook her head desperately, her movements frantic as she scrambled to construct a defense. “No, you’ve got everything completely wrong! How could anyone believe I would harm Tunny? That precious angel was the most treasured gift my mother ever gave me! It was Gretchen who poisoned your minds with her web of lies! Belinda was the one who murdered Tunny in cold blood.”
At this critical juncture, she could only deny everything.
