Chapter 1921
Chapter1921
Harold and Norma were overjoyed to see Lucas and Belinda.
After dinner, as the group of four strolled together, Belinda finally shared the truth about her parentage with the older couple.
The revelation left Harold and Norma stunned for a long moment, struggling to process the news.
“Belinda is Carola’s daughter? This is like something out of a soap opera!” Norma exclaimed, her face alight with astonishment.
Harold gave a sharp, disdainful huff. “Baker and Holley are despicable! Their actions are beyond cruel.”
Norma looked at Belinda with heartfelt compassion. “For over twenty years, you were wrongly labeled as their illegitimate child. Holley and Baker tormented you far too much. At least now, the truth has come to light.”
Belinda nodded softly, saying, “My childhood wasn’t all bad, honestly. Kenia was kind to me, and Holley didn’t always treat me poorly. The real pain came from others mocking me for my weight and the dark spot on my face.”
Harold’s brows knitted together as he analyzed the situation with a stern tone. “That was likely Holley’s scheme from the start. She wanted to chip away at your self-esteem bit by bit. Thankfully, you didn’t let her break you.”
Belinda gave a small smile, grateful for her inner strength.
“What’s your next step with those two?” Harold asked.
Lucas answered, “Holley is already behind bars, and I’ve made sure her time there won’t be easy. As for Baker… we’re leaving him to Carola. The Happer family will deal with him. His company is buried in debt and will collapse any day now.”
“Fair enough,” Harold said with a curt nod.
Norma gently clasped Belinda’s hand, her voice warm and earnest. “Belinda, you’ve finally found some calm in the storm. Your biological parents will cherish you moving forward, I’m sure of it.”
“I believe that, too,” Belinda replied in a soft voice.
After their walk, they crossed paths with Faye, who had just returned.

Faye’s face brightened at the sight of Lucas. “Uncle Lucas!” she exclaimed, then turned to Belinda with a friendly smile. “Belinda.”
Belinda returned the smile with a polite nod.
Faye seemed eager to talk to Lucas, but he barely acknowledged her.
Once inside the house, Lucas spoke up promptly. “Belinda and I should leave now. We’ll visit you again another time.”
“Very well,” Harold agreed.
“Uncle Lucas, you and Belinda are leaving already? Can’t you stay a bit longer?” Faye asked, her tone hopeful.
“We’ve got some pressing matters to attend to,” Lucas replied briskly, and with that, he and Belinda departed.
Faye watched them leave, her lips pursing in mild disappointment.
Harold caught her expression and frowned slightly, but eventually, he chose not to say anything.
On the drive back, Lucas noticed that Belinda seemed lost in thought. “What’s on your mind?” he asked gently.
After a brief hesitation, Belinda opened up to Lucas about the long-standing grudge between her and the two brothers, Lyle and Mitchell.
